#21 The 'Three Little Pigs' chair
Made from repurposed CLS waste, with oak stretchers and sapele wedges.
Unfinished/natural wood.
This chair was made for the Three Little Pigs shop and is designed for a 6-8y/o child, with a seat height of 370mm.

#20 CLS prototype
Made from repurposed CLS waste, with oak stretchers and sapele wedges.
Unfinished/natural wood. A full size prototype using a different construction technique which enables a horizontal comb and would facilitate a tapered spindled.

#19 Y Cadair Dras
The lineage / pedigree / kin chair
Windfall ash from the Glandovan estate, Cilgerran, with sapele off cuts.
Handmade, traditional joinery. Beeswax finish.

#17 & #18 Y Cadair Dras
A full size oak dining chair, and matching children's scaled version.
All from reclaimed oak, burnished / raw finish.

#16 Y Cadair Dras
Made from an old loft hatch (the seat), and oak offcuts this low back dining chair is left in a natural state.

#15 Oak and elm
All waste wood and offcuts. Made with handtools and a cordless drill.
All oak except the elm backrest. Slightly thicker dimensions and longer legs give it a different effect. Finished in wax and oil paste.

#14 A high stool
All waste wood and offcuts. Made with handtools and a cordless drill.
Khaya and azobe seat panel, with an ash and sapele base. Legs are sapele.
Stands 590 with a flat seat. Seat measures 310x250. Legs approx 28-30mm dia. Finished in homemade wood paste (wax, mineral oil, tung oil).

Mallet
Made from Elm (offcut from a seat), Mahogany (from an old chest of drawers), Oak (offcuts), and the handle is Khaya from a reclaimed railway sleeper. Held together with a wedged tenon.

Milking Stool
Made from peened Cedar, with Oak legs

Frames
Made from MDF moistureboard offcuts, biscuit jointed, and glued.

#7 Dining chair
A prototype made from MDF and pine offcuts.

Saw bench
A 450mm high saw bench, made from repurposed Azobe. The tenon was left proud on the end to ack as a bench stop and something to clamp a workpiece to.

Side table
A low side table. Made from repurposed Oak with wedged tenons.

A garden table
A Japanese style garden table, inspired by Simple Japanese Furniture, group monomono, GMC publications 2022'. All wood made from salvaged hardwood off cuts: Sapele, Iroko, Mahogany, Oak and Teak.

#5 High and wide
This stool was made high (700mm) and wide (570mm) for my neighbours.
The brief was rustic, rounded, and organic. Made with CLS off-cuts from their building project, held together with mortise, tenons, and tension.

#6 An Empty Chair
The final chair of the collection, made for the Empty Chair Design Award.
Repurposed Khaya (African mahogany) from a railway sleeper. Burnished finish.

#3 A hedge chair
A traditional Welsh / Irish hedge chair made with ebonised oak, with an elm seat and back rest. A burnished and tung oil finish.

#4 A fire-side back stool
A traditional vernacular fire-side back stool. Completely hand made from a rough cut piece of spalted beech using traditional tools and techniques. Burnished finish.

#2 A kitchen stool
A brutalist kitchen stool.
Repurposed Oak, tapered, doweled, and square tenons.
Finished in mineral oil.
340mm high, 355mm wide, 600mm high.

#1 A Post Chair
Rough cut timber machined to dimension. Mortise and tenon joints for legs and stretchers. Ebonised Oak and natural Ash with a soap polish. Seat 450mm from ground, 390mm wide, 460mm deep. Chair sits 810mm at top of rear legs.
